The State government has issued orders that the Registered Devasthan are not taking Authorisation from Governor, thus violation of Article 145 and 147 of Devasthan Regulations, Government of Goa.
The note issued by the Ponda Mamlatdar Rajesh Sakhalkar says “This is to note that some of Devasthan are not following of chapter X of Devasthan Regulations relating to extra ordinary expenditure.”
He said all the Managing Committee of Devasthans are hereby directed to follow the said chapter strictly following which it will be viewed seriously.
Mahesh Dattaram Nayak, a social media user, said this is good news for Mahajans that the Government is now insist upon Article 142 to 147 of Devasthan Regulations Mandatory for Registered Devasthans of Goa.
“Now no one will come forward to contest elections as now they will not B Abel to fill the pockets .This is victory of Mahajans in particular and LORD in general,” he wrote.
