PONDA: Motorists demand that the government repair Daag – Ponda road lying in the worst condition before Ganesh Festival.
The locals said they have been suffering for the last five years pending the sewerage work at Daag-Ponda.
Locals said the government must provide relief considering festival time.
Ponda roads have turned from bad to worse, and it’s a horrifying experience to travel through pothole-ridden roads.
The road was dug for laying a sewerage network; however, at the time of the monsoon, the roads were not properly restored, due to which potholes were developed at a one km stretch.
The officials said the work on hot mix carpeting would be done only after the completion of laying of sewerage network lines. Pending sewerage work, the hot mix carpeting work is also delayed at this stretch of road.
