CANACONA: Raising suspicious fingers on some big Political fishes, RGP supremo Manoj Parab has thrown a gauntlet at the GFP supremo Vijai Sardesai to come out clean on the alleged involvement of one of his close aide to set-up a Fishmeal factory at serene and virgin lands in Paryemoll on the outskirts of Khola and Barcem-Quedem village panchayats.
Roaring at the specially organised meet with the residents of Khola and Barcem-Quedem at Paryemoll, Manoj Parab said their investigation as to the alleged people attempting to bring a Fishmeal factory at Paryemoll, led them to the names likely to open- up Pandora’s box.
“We found the particular survey number where illegal hill cutting, tree felling and land-levelling is going on unabated stands in the name of one Goan Marine Impacts Pvt Ltd. On exploring this private limited entity, we found two partners named Sushant Manohar Godge and Antonio Rodrigues,” he said.
He said that on further scrutiny of these two partners we found Antonio Rodrigues is also a partner in another company named something like Malprefrex Export Pvt Ltd whose director is Ibrahim Maulana.
“Now everyone knows who Ibrahim Maulana is in fish trades. Besides, everybody is aware that one Sushant Manohar Ghodge is a close aide of Fatorda MLA and Goa Forward Party supremo Vijay Sardessai. ‘Now, I want to ask and it is for Vijay Sardessai to clarify, if the partner of Goan Marine Impacts Pvt Ltd by name Sushant Manohar Ghodge and his close aide by the same name are one and the same person. Why are these politicians hell bent on destroying and polluting the otherwise serene and virgin lands like Paryemoll?”, asked Parab.
Parab went on to challenge Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant to stop the upcoming fishmeal factory at Paryemoll allegedly promoted by Vijay Sardessai. Both makes a show-off trading charges and fighting in Assembly sessions. If CM is really the enemy of Vijay Sardesai, then CM should act now to stop this fishmeal factory from coming up at Paryemoll.
Stating Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa has assured him that he is with the people called on him to take up the issue, and oppose the fishmeal and give justice to people here. “We as RG, as well as our lone MLA Viresh Borkar will support you in the Assembly on this issue. Give justice to the people here”.
Speaking further Parab stated that everyone is aware of how a fishmeal factory at Cuncolim Industrial Estate is at the centre of storm, and not only people but even Cuncolim MLA is openly complaining of pollution because of this fishmeal factory. “Revolutionery Goans have organised this meet just to to provide a platform/stage to local people to express their grudge on this fishmeal. Unlike most other places, Paryemoll has no migrants, Goan areas should remain like that, no outside interferences only ‘Local’ In our Bardez, Tiswadi, whole Villages have spoiled, hills are razed, all streams are polluted, no Lake is left pure, pollution is everywhere, every ward is polluted and more importantly pollution has entered the houses. As for the planned Fishmeal factory in Paryemoll, Fish will be brought as raw material and they will produce fish food, fish fertilizer, for which lakhs of tons of water is required, transportation of raw material/fish itself will create pollution on Roads’, Parab said.
Earlier including local women, youths and village budvont in a scathing attack on the fish meal promoters said in no way they will accept a factory of fishmeal type, which besides polluting the atmosphere , will not leave a drop of pure water in the areas.
