PANAJI: The Revolutionary Goans Party (RGP) on Friday issued its second list of candidates for the upcoming Zilla Panchayat Elections 2025 in Goa, expanding its presence across key constituencies in both North and South Goa.
The announcement follows the party’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its grassroots outreach ahead of the polls.
In North Goa, the second list features seven nominees: Anil Harmalkar from Dhargal, Teotonio John Felix Lobo from Socorro, Rohan Dhavde from Penha-de-Franca and Nilesh Gaonkar from Nagargao, all contesting in general categories.
Women candidates named include Anaya Candolkar (Deepa) from Calangute, Arlene Braganza from Reis Magos and Dipika Kankonkar from Chimbel.
The South Goa lineup in the second list includes Nirupa Gaude from Usgao-Ganje and Angeline Tellis from Cortalim under the women’s quota, while Antoneta Fernandes will contest from Raia in the ST women’s reserved seat. Antony Roberts (Colva), Dagilee Fernandes (Velim) and Gitesh Gaonkar (Darbandora) have been fielded in general wards.
Sapnesh Gaonkar has been named the candidate for the ST-reserved Sanvordem constituency.
RGP president Tukaram (Manoj) Parab urged Goans to extend their support to the newly announced candidates, stating that the second list reflects the party’s commitment to offering credible grassroots leadership in the upcoming Zilla Panchayat polls.
