CANACONA: Canacona police have booked a motorcycle rider for rash and negligent riding after his two-wheeler collided with a stray cattle at Ordhofond, Poinguinim, injuring the pillion rider.
Police said the accused rider, identified as Ramchandra Kamble of Nagarcem, was riding a Hero Honda Splendor on Tuesday around 7.15 p.m. when he lost control and hit the stray cattle on the tar road. Both Kamble and his pillion rider, Lavkush Kumar of Lakhisarai (Bihar), fell on the road, with the pillion sustaining bodily injuries.
The case has been registered under Sections 125(a) and 281 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation is being carried out by Head Constable Ganu Pagi of Canacona Police Station.
