CURCHOREM: Curchorem Police have registered a case against a car driver following a fatal road accident reported shortly after midnight on October 1, 2025. As per a state complaint lodged by HC Paresh Shetkar of Curchorem Police Station, the accused, Jaya Naik of Pontemol, Curchorem, was driving a Hyundai car from Sanguem towards Shivaji Chowk when he allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life. On reaching near Timblo Garage, Madhegal, Kakoda, the car collided with an oncoming KTM Duke motorcycle and dragged it for some distance. The motorcycle rider, Prassad Naik of Valshem, Naikuinim, Sanguem, sustained fatal injuries and succumbed on the spot. Police said the investigation is being carried out by PSI Dinesh Gaonkar of Curchorem Police Station.
