PANAJI: Following the rise in COVID-19 cases,
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that COVID-19 cases and influenza cases are increasing throughout the country, and people must adopt self-discipline.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function, CM said the Government can only issue advisories.
“Precautions have to be taken by the people. People have to now start taking precautions which were taken during the pandemic times,” he said.
He said that people must test and isolate themselves even if they get cold symptoms.
“Treatment is important. I advise people not to come in public if they have any symptoms. We are currently monitoring the situation to determine whether cases continue to rise and see what Govt of India Advisory is, and then we will take a further step,” he said.
