PONDA: Soon after being announced as the BJP candidate for the upcoming Ponda by-election, youth leader Ritesh Naik has stepped up his grassroots outreach, meeting residents and stakeholders across the constituency.
Over the past few days, Naik has interacted with locals, community leaders and representatives, listening to concerns and assuring attention to key issues. Discussions focused on infrastructure gaps, employment opportunities, youth engagement and implementation of welfare schemes, with Naik stressing practical and people-centric governance.
Speaking during the interactions, Naik said his experience of working alongside his father and former chief minister Ravi Naik has given him insights into governance and grassroots public service. He added that his focus would remain on staying connected with people and working towards solutions that impact daily lives.
Naik also emphasised transparency, accountability and timely resolution of grievances. He assured special focus on youth empowerment, women-centric initiatives and support for small businesses in the constituency.
His visits have drawn encouraging responses, particularly from youth, with many appreciating his accessibility and hands-on approach. With the by-election approaching, Naik’s outreach is expected to shape the political narrative in Ponda.
