PANAJI: Imagine Panaji Smart City Development Ltd (IPSCDL) CEO Sanjit Rodrigues stated that the roads in Panaji under the Smart City project have been completed, as per the affidavit submitted to the High Court, which had set a deadline of March 31.

He further said that according to the affidavit submitted to the High Court, the laying of bituminous concrete, along with road painting and signal installation on all completed roads, will be completed by May 31, 2025.
“Tree plantation and landscaping work will be completed by June 30, 2025” he added
Rodrigues said that works on MG Road, 18 June Road and Pandurang Pissurlekar Road cannot be carried out under Smart City missing and this has been communicated to the government.
“State has already made a Budget provision to undertake the works under other project,” he added
He also said that no trenches, no barricading, no excavation except Taad Maad junction.
Sanjit said that deadline for Taad Maad road was on March 31st, however, work has still not been completed due to some complexities.
“We need more time to complete this road; Banyan tree is safe and claim of damage to it is false,” he added
Sanjit said that according to the affidavit submitted to the High Court, the laying of bituminous concrete, along with road painting and signal installation on all completed roads, will be completed by May 31, 2025.
