DABOLIM: In a shocking incident, six houses were burgled in Ekta Waddo in Dabolim wherein gold and cash worth Rs 7 lakhs was stolen.
“Six houses are burgled in Ekta Waddo, Alto Dabolim; Gold and cash worth Rs 7 lakhs stolen from one residence, while smaller items taken from others,” said a local.
Locals say that their suspicion arises on a Fakir who had sought Roti days ago, as only locked houses are targeted.
Another local Shaikh said that his house was locked as he had travelled to his native place but when he came this morning, the lock was broken.
“Gold and cash was stolen from the room. The room lock was also broken. I came to know of the theft this morning.” he added.
The local say that one Fakir had visited all the houses and asking for rotis.
“We can doubt on that Fakir, Police are on spot now, investigation is on,” they said.
The Police said that investigation is on and we are in search of the suspect Fakir as told by locals.
Further investigations are underway.
