CALANGUTE:- A young man, identified as a room boy at Cardozo Holiday Inn Guest House in Calangute, was found dead in a suspected suicide.
Lalit Paswan, 27, son of Rambilas Paswan, a native of Madhubani, Bihar, was discovered by the guest house owner, Shri Imran Khan, after staff were unable to get him to open his room. According to police, a call was received from PCR Panaji at 11:59 hrs on August 28, 2025, informing them of the situation.
Upon reaching the guest house, located at Maddo Wado, Calangute, police found that Shri Imran Khan had already opened the staff room. Inside, they found Paswan’s body, which he had reportedly used a cotton cloth to hang from a ceiling fan.
A scene of occurrence and inquest panchanama were conducted by Calangute police. The body has been transferred to the morgue at GMC Bambolim, Goa for medico-legal formalities.
PSI Yogesh Mandrekar of Calangute Police Station is conducting further inquiry into the incident.
