NAVELIM: The Rosary College of Commerce & Arts, Navelim, recently organized a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with the Red Ribbon Club, NSS Unit, NCC Units (Boys and Girls), and the College Health Cell. The event was held in the College Seminar Hall with support from the Goa Medical College (GMC) Blood Bank, supervised by physicians, a pathologist, and laboratory staff.
The initiative aimed to promote social responsibility, community engagement, and awareness about the critical role of blood donation in saving lives. Students, faculty, and staff actively participated, combining the spirit of community service with a strong educational message.
A total of 83 students and staff registered as potential donors, and after a screening process assessing hemoglobin, blood pressure, and overall health, 73 successfully donated blood—including 52 males and 21 females, with nine teaching and non-teaching staff among them.
The GMC medical team ensured the process adhered to all safety protocols, while volunteers from NSS and NCC efficiently managed registration, guided donors, assisted medical staff, and maintained order throughout the camp.
The blood donation drive reflected the college’s ongoing commitment to fostering compassion, service, and civic responsibility within its community.
