Local talents like Roseline Bunyan and Tanaji Sawant have made their mark by advancing to the pre-quarterfinals, showcasing Goa’s strong presence in the sport. Meanwhile, top Indian seeds such as Rajeev Sharma and Balbir Jamwal have dominated their matches, highlighting the depth of veteran prowess in Indian badminton.
The tournament, which runs from March 16 to 23, has seen a flurry of impressive performances. Roseline Bunyan, Tanaji Sawant, Pradeep Dhond, Satish Dhondu Kudchadkar, and Rupchandra Humraskar have all secured spots in the pre-quarterfinals across various age categories. The mixed doubles pair of Pradeep Dhond and Judy Fernandes also secured a convincing win in the XD 60+ category, further solidifying Goa’s presence in the competition.
Top-seeded players like Ram Lakhan and Sanjay Srivastava have displayed their dominance in their respective age groups, underscoring the high level of competition at the event.
