Candolim:A resident of Candolim has been booked after his pet Rottweiler allegedly attacked and injured a 60-year-old man in Annawaddo, Candolim. The incident occurred on the morning of July 23 and an FIR was registered the following evening.
According to the complaint filed by Marcus A. Machado, a resident of Marina Bay, Annawaddo, the accused—identified as Gurudatt Lawande, also from Candolim—allegedly allowed his Rottweiler dog to roam freely without restraint. At around 9:45 AM, the unleashed dog ran towards the complainant and bit him on his left foot, causing injuries and endangering his safety.
Machado approached the police, following which an offence was registered against Lawande at 10:57 PM on July 24. The case has been registered under charges of negligence leading to harm and public safety endangerment.
Further investigation is underway, led by PSI Dinesh Kanolkar.
