SALIGAO: In a late evening operation, the Salifgao police arrested a West Bengal native for being in possession of 1.61 kg ganja worth Rs 1.2 lakhs.
Police said that upon reliable information, the staff of Saligao PS, with meticulous planning and coordination, conducted a Narcotics raid near Seminary ground, Sonarbhat Saligao and apprehended the Accused, namely Pratap S/o Ratan Biswas, age 22 yrs, R/o c/o Kerkar, Pilerne Bardez Goa N/o West Bengal who was found in his possession Ganja weighing 1.61 Kg W/Rs. 1,20,000/-.
The team was headed by PI Sachin B. Lokre, PSI Atikesh Khedekar, PC Vishant Mayekar, PC Vijay Palni, PC Sarvesh Gawas, and PC Sachin Gawade.
In this connection, registered Saligao PS CR.No. 29/2022 U/s 20(b)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act at 18.03 hrs.
The accused is arrested and presently in Police Custody.
