FATORDA: Police are investigating a theft in which nearly ₹1,90,000 in cash was stolen from the Centre Head Office of Shetty Eye Hospital, Borda, Fatorda.
The incident came to light after Prashant Naik, a resident of Fatorda, lodged a complaint stating that the theft occurred on 29 November 2025, between 2:20 pm and 3:10 pm. According to the complaint, an unknown person gained unauthorised entry into the office premises and broke open a table drawer, making away with the cash.
Fatorda Police have registered a case and initiated inquiry to identify the accused and trace the stolen money.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Sachin Maruti Patil of Fatorda Police Station.
