CANACONA: An ambitious Rs 20 crores worth Beautification of Palolem Beach is unveiled on Wednesday.
The Palolem Beach Beautification Project is inaugurated by carrying out bhumipujan at the Palolem beach main Entrance in the presence of Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar, CMC Chairperson Ramakant Naikgaunkar and others.
Tawadkar, assured there won’t be any fund dearth from government side for carrying out developmental works, and most of the infrastructural developments would be a reality in due course of time.
CMC Chairperson Ramakant Naikgaunkar upon the coastal business community to avoid fights with the guests, particularly tourists so that they have a pleasant experience and come back again with fond memories and keep tourism businesses alive and running. Naikgaunkar also called upon the tourism stakeholder to maintain a reasonable prices with the businesses and mainly gave an emphasis calling upon to maintain cleanliness stating handling and disposal of garbage will greatly impact the tourism businesses.
Area Councilors Laxuman (Bakal) Pagui and Sara Samba Naikdesai spoke on the need of the Parking issues faced by the visitors and tourists alike, and a called on immediate solution to the issue.
Ward Councilor Simon Rebello raised the some of the developmental issues pending and praised the MLA for doing a lot of work in his ward.
Officials from Tourism department explained in brief as to what will be developed as part of Beautification Project at Palolem beach.
