CANACONA: In a major relief to the highway commuters in Canacona, the central government has conveyed its Technical, Administrative and Financial sanction of Rs.75.46 Cr for the long pending Land Acquisition for 4-Laning of NH-66 from Char-Rasta (Canacona) to Bendurdem (Quepem).
A communiqué received from the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, Regional Office (Mumbai), signed by Under Secretary to the Government of India, conveyed on the auspicious occasion of Gudi-Padwa to the delight of Canacona people, approved the actual land acquisition costs of Rs. 73.62, besides the addition of 1% of Contingency Charges, 3% of Agency Charges, and 2.5% of Administrative has overall sanctioned amounts of Rs.75.46 Cr. The targets for the expenses will be two phases for the Year 2023-24 Milestone – I Finances-30.624 Cr or 40% and the second phase for the year 2024-25 Completion 100% of Rs.75.46%.
The estimate is based on the Government of Goa Land Rates Official Gazette, which states the order.
The compensation shall be paid to the land losers whose land would be acquired under the relevant notification for the 4-lining works.
There is a proposal to acquire a total of 292308.74sqm of land at Bendordem ( 64474.00sqm @ Rs.120/-), Cordem (63077.53 sqm @ Rs. 240/-), Barcem (70381.40 sqm @ Rs.240/), Padi (17373.96 sqm @ Rs.240/-), Canacona (46564.08 Sqm @ Rs.300/-) and Nagorcem-Palolem (30437.79 @ rate of Rs.2400/-) Total value of land to be acquired comes to Rs.13,09,56.686.19, besides compensation of Structures and Compensation to Trees is valued at 3.5 Crores.
Stating 4-laning land acquisition is the biggest step towards the development of Canacona, Canacona BJP Block President Vishal Dessai. Informed. ‘These sanctions received on an auspicious day on Wednesday on the occasion of Gudi Padwa is a major success for the mission of Vision Canacona-2030, a concept initiated by our Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar for the improvement and development of Canacona’, stated.
