Anjuna Police has said that post mortem report of Russian Ekaterina Titova that it a murder and not suicide.
The police said that they are now investigating the case which was suicide earlier as murder.
“Post mortem of Titova suggests that it is a murder and not suicide as a result of which we are investigating the case now as murder,” the Anjuna Police said
Police further said that foul play was suspected.o
The police had received a call informing that one lady is found dead in her rented room at Oxel Siolim, Bardez Goa.
Accordingly PSI Sujay Korgaonkar visited at the spot and found that Ekaterina Tibova, age 34 yrs, Russian National holder of PP No. 72 0221284 bearing Visa No. 9001910DIQ issued on 13.01.2020 valid till 30.12.2020 was found lying in her bedroom.
Accordingly, Anjuna Police registered FIR U/s 174 CrPC and conducted scene panchanama and the dead body has been sent for preservation at GMC Morgue Bambolim.
Further, FRRO Panaji had requested to intimate Russian Embassy about the dead of the deceased to intimate her family members and also to depute representative and issue NOC to conduct further medico legal formalities
