MANDREM: Police arrested a 57-year-old Russian national in Mandrem on Tuesday for allegedly staying in Goa without valid travel documents.
According to police, the accused, Kozhemyakin Sergey, presently residing near the Banyan Tree at Ashvem, was found without a valid visa and passport at the parking area of Dunes Resort, Junaswada, Mandrem, around 12.45 pm on September 23.
Based on a complaint by Constable Sarvesh T. Gawas of Mandrem Police Station, a case was registered under Section 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025. The accused was arrested the same afternoon at 2.26 pm, police said.
Further investigation is underway under PSI Sarvesh Sawant.
