But a senior BJP leader said a reshuffle was likely in the next few days as the party would need to accommodate at least a couple of Congress MLAs who have crossed over, including former Chief Minister Digambar Kamat.
The BJP now has 28 MLAs in the 40-member Assembly after eight Congress MLAs switched sides.
MLAs — Digambar Kamat, Rajesh Faldesai, Aleixo Sequeira, Michael Lobo, Delilah, Sankalp Amonkar, Kedar Naik and Rudolf Fernandes joined BJP last month.
Later, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade also said there was no discussion on the cabinet reshuffle. “There are no plans for a cabinet reshuffle after Dussehra or Diwali,” he had said.
Digambar Kamat and Michael Lobo were at the centre of the switchover speculation in July too, and the Congress had even asked the speaker to disqualify them under the anti-defection law. The party removed Michael Lobo as Leader of Opposition, but no replacement was named.
