PANJIM: As the COVID-19 cases continue to surge in the State, the Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) today demanded that Health Minister Vishwajit Rane be sacked for being incompetent and be prosecuted for criminality.
In a statement issued, GPCC President Girish Chodankar demanded that BJP-led government is responsible for COVID crisis and its failed management policies have worsened the situation.
He said that the Health Minister should be sacked immediately and the criminal case be filed against him for willful exposure of Goans to COVID-19 virus.
“The BJP should own up and admit to Goans for having lied to them that Goa was COVID-free and apologize for the spike in such a high number of cases,” he said.
“Health Minister should be booked for negligence of duty and wrongful priorities and sacked immediately,” Chodankar added.
