CANACONA: Sports Authority of Goa (SAG) has floated an e-tender worth ₹22.92 crore for the construction of a sports complex at Shree Balram Residential High School in Amone, Canacona, a school founded by Sports Minister Ramesh Tawadkar.
According to the tender notice issued by the Executive Director of SAG on behalf of the Governor of Goa, online bids have been invited in a two-bid system (e-tendering mode) for the construction of the sports complex at Shree Balram Residential School, Amone. The estimated cost of the project is ₹22,92,86,432.70 (₹22.92 crore).
The last date for online submission of bids is March 9, 2026, up to 12 noon, while the tender will be opened online on March 10, 2026, at 3 pm. Interested bidders can access detailed tender documents through the official Goa government e-procurement portal.
As per the tender conditions, the work is time-bound and must be completed within 365 days, including the monsoon period.
Shree Balram Residential High School was established in 2008 by the Shree Balram Education Society founded by Tawadkar. The institution initially functioned from rented premises at Ordhafond-Poinguinim before being shifted to a modern campus at Adarshgram-Amone, Poinguinim, comprising school buildings, boys’ and girls’ hostels and a playground. The infrastructure was reportedly developed with funding under the Central Government Tribal Sub-Plan Scheme. – END
