SALIGAO: Saligao constituency MLA Kedar Naik on Thursday handed over a high-quality Studiomaster brand sound system to Shri Datt Devasthan, following a written request submitted by the temple committee.
The proposal to approach the MLA for assistance was suggested by Mangesh Salgaonkar, Satchit Gavkar and Sarvesh Karpe. Acting on this, the executive committee of Shri Datt Devasthan had submitted a memorandum to the MLA, who responded positively and provided the equipment.
This is not the first time the temple has received support from the MLA. Earlier, Naik had facilitated the installation of solar lights and helped construct a small protective wall for the temple premises. A high-mast lamp is also expected to be installed soon.
Speaking on the occasion, Naik assured that the long-pending demand for a protective wall near the priest’s residence would also be addressed shortly, with necessary documentation already in process. He reiterated his commitment to addressing developmental needs of the village and the constituency.
The Devasthan committee, life members, devotees, and villagers expressed gratitude to MLA Kedar Naik for his continued support.
