VASCO: Vasco MLA Daji Salkar handed over the memorandum to the Vasco railway station Master requesting to start an additional pilgrimage train for the Vailankanni feast at Vailankanni.
A memorandum to put an additional train between Vasco to Hyderabad for the pilgrimage of Vailankanni was submitted by Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar to Vasco railway station master Ramdas Guddemani on Wednesday morning.
Mormugao Municipal Chairperson Leo Rodriques said that this Goa Vailankanni pilgrimage train was stopped for the last two years due to the Covid19 pandemic. But this year, the train should start for the devotees who could go to the Vailankanni pilgrimage after two years.
Vasco MLA Krishna Salkar said that he has submitted the memorandum to put an additional train for the Vailankanni pilgrimage from Goa to Vailankanni.
He further said that the railway officer has assured to consider this plea. Salkar also said that additional requests have been made to give additional pillows and blankets to the Goan passengers who will travel on this train as without additional blankets, these travellers face inconvenience due to the cold climate.
