CANACONA: Samaj Mandir, Tamne-Loliem, celebrated its 40th anniversary with a vibrant three-day cultural festival titled ‘Kalatarang 2025’, organized in association with the Department of Art and Culture, Government of Goa. The event took place on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th of October 2025, showcasing the region’s artistic and cultural heritage.
The concluding ceremony was graced by Minister for Arts and Culture Ramesh Tawadkar, in the presence of Poinguinim Sarpanch Smt. Savita Tawadkar, Loliem-Polem Sarpanch Smt. Nisha Chari, and Dy. Sarpanch Pankaj Bandekar, among others.
On the occasion, Keshav Pagi, founder member of Samaj Mandir, Tamne-Loliem and senior BJP karyakarta, was felicitated by Minister Tawadkar in recognition of his dedicated service and contribution to public welfare.
The festival, held under the chairmanship of Sudarshan Pagi, featured a variety of cultural performances and activities that reflected the rich traditions and unity of the local community.
Also present were Canacona BJP Mandal President Prabhakar Gaonkar, Panch members Chandrakant Sudir and Ajay Lolyenkar, along with Samaj Mandir office bearers — President Ulhas Pagi, Secretary Shantaram Namshikar, Treasurer Suresh Pagi, and founder members Keshav Pagi, Suresh Pagi, and Bhiku Pagi.
