PANAJI: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Goa stated that former Governor Satyapal Malik’s conduct following his removal from Goa made it abundantly evident that he was unfit for the position.
“When Satyapal Malik was in office, he ought to have acted right away if he had any evidence supporting his statements about the Goa Chief Minister,” Phal Desai stated.
The minister went on to say that Malik only started criticizing the BJP, its leaders, and the Goa chief minister after being fired from his position as governor.
He claimed that “he started making statements when he realized he was not getting any more positions.”
When asked why the BJP-led government chose Malik to be governor, Phal Desai suggested that it might have been a mistake to give him such a prominent role. He said, “But sometimes, you never know how people change.”
Before arguing with Satyapal Malik, one should verify his credibility, according to BJP Goa Spokesman Giriraj Vernekar.
There is a well-known proverb that goes, “Never wrestle with a pig because you’ll get dirty and he’ll enjoy it.” Vernekar said this without addressing him.
