PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant completed five years of office today and Goa State BJP President Sadanand Shet Tanavade has praised his leadership qualities.
“On 17 March 2019, the whole country mourned the demise of former Defence Minister and then CM of Goa Manoharbhai. Goa had to elect a new Chief Minister in an extremely difficult situation,” said Tanavade in an emotional note on social media.
He said 19 March 2019 will be remembered as a sad day on one hand and on the other hand a new administrator was born.
“Dr Pramod Sawant took oath as the new chief minister of Goa in an extremely difficult situation, he had never been a minister before, and the administration was new to him. However, he accepted the challenge, took responsibility on his shoulders, he definitely embraced the art of administration like fish takes to water,” said Tanavade.
The BJP chief says the state economy, since then he has never looked back.
Taking care of not letting any leader’s style overshadow him, his impression is as a successful Chief Minister who knows how to political opponents.
“Goa is taking shape today under his leadership and is on the path of development and inclusive growth, said Tanavade.
He said Dr Pramod Sawant is Chief Minister of the people not because of his achievements but because of the affection he carries in the hearts of the common people.
“He understands the pulse of the common people, reads the problems of the poor and works for the last man of the society. I convey my best wishes for a successful career of five years in social administration and for the future,” he said.
