PANAJI: Caretaker Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that he would be traveling to Delhi later in the day to meet BJP National President J P Nadda.
“I am going to Delhi today; I will be meeting our BJP National President J P Nadda and Home Minister Amit Shah,” said CM Sawant.
He further said that State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade would accompany him to Delhi.
“Goa will continue to prosper with the Double Engine Sarkar under the dynamic leadership of PM Modi,” he added.
Sawant said the new government would be formed after Holi, which falls on Friday. When asked whether the swearing of new MLAs before the formation of the new government would lead to a constitutional crisis, he said that the newly elected MLAs have been sworn-in today.
Earlier, Pramod Sawant’s picture was missing from a post-win BJP poster. This incident led to speculations over Sawant not being elevated to CM post.
On Tuesday, the BJP Parliamentary Board appointed Mr Narendra Singh Tomar and L Murugan as central observers to elect the new CLO lease in Goa.
