PANAJI: The Supreme Court of India has dismissed the Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by IRB, effectively affirming the Bombay High Court at Goa’s judgment that upheld the seniority of the 2002 batch of Goa Police Inspectors.
With the dismissal of the SLP, the apex court has brought an end to the long-standing dispute, ensuring that the 2002 batch Inspectors will retain their rightful seniority along with all consequential service benefits.
The Goa Police was represented before the Supreme Court by Senior Advocate Atmaram N.S. Nadkarni, along with advocates Galileo Teles and Salvador Santosh Rebello (AoR).
