PANAJI: The State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT) has officially been registered as an autonomous body, now known as the Goa State Council of Educational Research and Training.
The registration was completed under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 (Central Act 21 of 1860), with the registration number 156/Goa/2024.
With effect from April 01, 2025, SCERT has transitioned into a fully autonomous entity.
This significant move is expected to enhance the body’s capacity to manage and implement educational research, training, and policy initiatives independently, aiming to foster improvements within the state’s education system.
The newly granted autonomy will enable SCERT to streamline its operations and enhance its role in shaping educational strategies, ensuring a more effective and responsive approach to the evolving educational needs of Goa.
