Siolim: Anjuna Police have registered a case following a road accident that occurred on May 19, 2025, at Vaddy, Siolim, resulting in injuries to two individuals, including a woman who sustained grievous injuries.
Based on the complaint filed by Mr. Tilu V. Salgaonkar, 54, a resident of Vaddy, Siolim, a case (Cr. No. 108/2025) under Sections 281 and 125(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023 has been registered at Anjuna Police Station.
As per the complaint, on May 19 at around 5:25 PM, the accused, identified as Rinshad K. R., a native of Ernakulam, Kerala, was riding a Fascino scooter (GA-04-T-7450) in a rash and negligent manner while travelling from Siolim Church towards Vaddy. Near the saw mill at Vaddy, the accused reportedly collided head-on with a Honda Dio scooter (GA-03-AG-1668) coming from the opposite direction.
The complainant, who was riding the Dio scooter, sustained simple injuries in the accident. However, the pillion rider, identified as Mrs. Sushma Salgaonkar, suffered grievous injuries.
