VERNA: A case of vehicle theft has been registered at Verna Police Station following a complaint by Dadi Lokesh, a resident of Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
According to the complaint, on January 3, 2025, between 7:00 AM and 5:00 PM, an unknown person stole a Honda Dio Drum scooter worth approximately ₹83,570 from an open parking space near Gate No. 06 of Cipla Company at IDC Verna.
Upon receiving the complaint, Verna Police registered an offence under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The case is currently under investigation by Assistant Sub-Inspector Paresh Fal Dessai, under the supervision of Police Inspector Melson Colaco and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
Police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating the stolen vehicle or identifying the culprit.
