PANAJI: A scooter parked at the Panaji bus stand was reported stolen on Monday evening, prompting Panaji Police to register a theft case against unknown persons.
According to police, complainant Sanjiv M. Gadkar, a resident of Porvorim, Bardez, stated that his Honda Activa scooter bearing registration number JK-02-DJ-7226 was parked at the designated parking area of the Panaji Bus Stand on March 23 at around 4:45 pm. When he later returned, the vehicle was found missing.
The stolen scooter is valued at approximately Rs 50,000. Following the complaint and after discussion with senior officers, Panaji Police registered an offence against unknown accused persons.
Further investigation is in progress with Head Constable Pandurang Gawas Naik (HC-5933) of Panaji Police Station.
