MAPUSA: A scrapyard near the Petrol pump, Guirim, Mapusa, caught fire this morning, causing a loss of Rs 1,50,000.
According to Mapusa Fire Station officials, they received a fire call at 07:45 hours.
The Fire officials said the loss was approximately Rs 1, 50,000/- and property worth Rs 5,00,000/- was saved.
The owner of the scrapyard is said to be one, Mohamad Shamim.
The Fire team was led by Ashok Parab Sub officer, Mapusa FS: Prakash Kannaik leading fire fighter, Yogesh Amonkar Driver operator, Anand Bandekar Driver fire fighter, Prakash Ghadi, Firefighter, Paresh Mandrekar, Richard Trinidad firefighter, Bhikaji Kaloji firefighter
