As a precautionary measure, only four personal staff would be allowed to accompany Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly and Chief Minister during the upcoming one-day Monsoon session scheduled on July 27.
Secretary Legislature Namrata Ulman in a series of guidelines issued, to be followed during the session, has said that a Minister can be accompanied by two personal staff, while one in case of a MLA.
Earlier this month, the Secretary had imposed restrictions on Ministers and MLAs from holding any meetings, media briefings and other gatherings during the session.
As per the guidelines any person or official visiting the Assembly complex without wearing of masks or shields will not be allowed to enter the area.
Further, only those government officers connected with the Business to be transacted on the day of Session will be allowed to attend. Also, the government departments who are connected with the LAQs for the day and government bills to be introduced are requested to restrict the posting of their officials to only two on the day of the session.
“All such officials are requested to arrive 15 minutes prior to the commencement of the Assembly session,” the guidelines mentioned.
Entry to general public is banned during the session.
Social distancing has to be strictly followed by all at the entry points and throughout their stay at the Assembly complex on the day of the session.
“Any breach in the norms will result in immediate expulsion from the Assembly complex,” it added.
