ANJUNA: A 33-year-old security guard was found dead after allegedly hanging himself inside an old house at Oxel, Siolim, on Friday night.
According to police, Anjuna Police registered an unnatural death case after receiving a phone call from PHC Siolim at around 9.30 pm on March 28 informing that a male person had been brought dead to the casualty.
Enquiry with the deceased’s brother revealed that he had visited the room and noticed his brother, Pushpendra, son of Nathu Singh, originally from Datia district of Madhya Pradesh and currently residing at Oxel, Siolim, hanging from an iron tube using a bedsheet as ligature material. With the help of a cousin, the body was lowered and shifted to PHC Siolim, where the doctor on duty declared him brought dead.
Police conducted the scene of occurrence and inquest panchanama. The body has been preserved at GMC morgue for medico-legal formalities.
