PANAJI: Sesa Football Academy (SFA) has once again demonstrated its commitment to football development in India by successfully hosting the AFC ‘B’ License Module 2 course at its state-of-the-art campus in Sirsaim, Goa. The intensive 10-day program brought together 26 coaches from across the country, all aiming to elevate their tactical, technical, and managerial expertise in the beautiful game.
The course, a crucial step in the career progression of aspiring football coaches, was led by renowned Head Instructor Mariano Dias, with support from experienced Assistant Instructors Gavin Araujo and Caitan Pinho. The program delivered a comprehensive blend of theoretical and on-field training sessions, focused on equipping coaches with the tools necessary to lead high-performance teams at state, semi-professional, and professional levels.
Speaking about the significance of the course, Mr. Gavin Araujo, Technical Director at SFA, said, “It’s an exciting opportunity to work with such a passionate and dedicated group of coaches. The AFC ‘B’ License is a vital milestone for anyone serious about a coaching career. Beyond enhancing individual coaching skills, this course aims to cultivate a culture of excellence that inspires the next generation of Indian footballers and coaches.”
With a strong track record of organizing coaching certification programs, including the AFC ‘C’ and ‘D’ License courses in the past, SFA continues to lead efforts to raise the standard of coaching across the country. This initiative reflects SFA’s broader vision to promote football holistically in Goa and beyond, nurturing talent from the grassroots to the professional level.
By investing in coach education and development, SFA is playing a key role in shaping the future of Indian football—one coach at a time.
