Panaji:
7 persons on an illegal pershing boat were detained off the coast of Cacra for conducting illegal fishing activities within the prohibited Nautical Mile radius, with illicit fishing nets amongst other gross violations.
The seized 300 kgs of fish have been handed over to the Director of Fisheries.
Revenue Minister Jennifer Monseratte announced this on twitter “I thank PI Siddhant Shirodkar and the Coastal Police team for their swift action in this case that has contributed in helping the local fishermen in Cacra.”
