COLVA: The Women Police Station, Panaji, has registered a criminal case involving allegations of sexual assault, sexual harassment and criminal intimidation following a complaint filed by a woman, whose identity has been withheld for legal reasons.
According to police, Crime No. 11/2025 was registered on December 23, 2025, at 1.38 pm under Sections 64, 74, 75 and 351 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The complaint pertains to an incident that allegedly occurred on March 20, 2025, at around 12.15 am at Colva Beach, South Goa.
As per the complaint, the accused person allegedly sexually assaulted and harassed the woman by touching her inappropriately and outraging her modesty without her consent. It is further alleged that when the complainant confronted the accused over a false complaint purportedly filed by him at Panaji Police Station, he threatened to defame her by lodging more false cases.
Following the complaint, the Women Police Station registered the offence. Further investigation is in progress under the supervision of LPSI Manish Mardolkar, Women Police Station, Panaji.
