Curtorim: SFX Sports Club Camarxete booked their place in the finals of the Fondegal Youth Club 9-A-Side Interward Football Tournament 2025 with an emphatic 5–0 victory over Cumborda Sports Club at the St Alex Church Ground on Tuesday.
The match kicked off with both sides showing intensity and attacking intent, but it was SFX Camarxete who eventually took control. Despite early attempts from Cumborda SC to break through, Camarxete’s defense held firm.
The breakthrough came in the 15th minute, when Casvino Fernandes found the net off a well-timed cross from Anslem Fernandes, putting SFX Camarxete ahead 1–0. Despite several chances created by both Casvino and Anslem, the score remained unchanged at halftime.
In the second half, SFX Camarxete continued to dominate the play. Anslem Fernandes doubled the lead with a stunning goal in the 35th minute, giving his team a comfortable cushion. Cumborda SC struggled to respond as Camarxete maintained relentless pressure.
In the 43rd minute, Velroy Paes delivered a precise pass to Casvino Fernandes, who skillfully dribbled past the goalkeeper to net his second goal of the match and extend the lead to 3–0. Just minutes later, Casvino displayed his trademark footwork again, cutting through the defense to complete his hat-trick, sealing a dominant 4–0 win.
SFX Camarxete now advance to the tournament final, where they will face Fondegal Club on June 1st at 5:00 PM.
Velroy Paes was named Man of the Match for his impactful performance in midfield and key assist.
