CANACONA: In a largely attended Annual General-Body Meeting (AGM), South Goa District Madgaon School Complex Co-operative Credit Society Ltd. decides to felicitate meritorious School students of Quepem and Sanguem Talukas.
The AGM) witnessed near-to-full attendance of its members held in the Conference hall of Ravindra Bhavan Margao with Chairman Babaji G Sawant expressing gratitude for continued support and trust.
The key highlights of the AGM included the presentation of the Audit Report and Annual financial statement of the society for the FY 2023-24, which showcased the society’s strong financial performance over the past year. Chairman Sawant while reading the Annual report expressed satisfaction with the rise in the share capital, working capital, Deposits and Advances of the society and further stated that the financial health of the society is very strong and it is growing year after year with rising deposits and emotional attachment of its members ‘The working capital of the society has been increased by 10 per cent and Society made a good profit which shall be appropriated as per the rules in force with 6 per cent dividend and 30 per cent of patronage to the members’.
According to the press note, the Chairman informed that the society has planned to felicitate the meritorious students from the schools of Quepem and Sanguem Taluka tentatively in the month of October.
Furthermore, important discussions took place regarding future plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing member services and benefits. Proposals for new activities and improvements to existing ones were discussed and supported by members, with Chairman inviting members to voice their opinions and suggestions freely so as to contribute to the society’s collaborative decision-making process.
Secretary Sandeep Redkar read out the profit appreciation while the Treasurer Mrs Laurencia Vaz Presented the budget estimate for FY 24-25. The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice-Chairman Tulshidas Dessai and the AGM setting a positive tone for the upcoming year, reinforcing the society’s mission to provide excellent financial services and support to its members.
