CALANGUTE: Calangute Police have registered a case against the manager of Royal Shack for allegedly obstructing government officials during an inspection and threatening them.
According to police, Aditya Naik, Taluka-level Supervisor in the Revenue Section of the Department of Tourism, Panjim, lodged a complaint stating that on 8 July 2025 around 5.30 p.m., he and his team were at Royal Shack in Calangute for a routine document and license verification.
The accused, identified as Vikram Mishra, manager of Royal Shack and native of Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, allegedly used abusive language, pushed the officials, and threatened them with dire consequences, thereby obstructing them from performing their lawful duty.
Police said further investigation into the matter is underway.
