ST CRUZ (Panaji): In an incident that has sent shivers in the entire locality, a pet dog was killed by a crocodile at Bondvole lake in St Cruz this morning.
Locals said a resident of Alto Santa Cruz had gone to Bondvall Lake this morning to walk his two dogs.
“One of the dogs was snatched by a crocodile and dragged underwater. It has now been confirmed that three crocodiles live in the lake,” said a local.
Others said that all residents must please be cautious and extra careful when they venture into the lake or go for a walk.
Locals said that the residents often go for a swim during summer and rains, and they must now be cautious.
“All those who come to the lake for a swim, please be careful. Advise not to venture in and around the lake,” locals say.
