NAVELIM: In a shocking case, Goa Police today have arrested a 60-year-old Navelim resident for allegedly raping a minor girl.
As per the information, the police said that the minor’s father had come to the police station to report that his daughter was missing.
The police sent a search team, and the girl was traced in Navelim itself and handed over to her parents.
The girl narrated the incident to her parents, said the police.
In the police complaint, the father stated that the accused had illegally confined his daughter in his flat and raped her before dropping her off at Navelim.
The accused has been remanded in five-day police custody.
