CUNCOLIM: Cuncolim police today has arrested a physical education (PE) teacher Ramesh Gaonkar of government school for allegedly molesting a minor student.
PI Cuncolim Upon receiving a complaint from the headmistress of the school, the government high school registered the alleged offender under sections of the Goa Children’s Act, Section 8 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 354(A) (molestation), Section 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act, and Sections 67(A) and 67(B) of the Information Technology Act of 2000.
Police reported that the government high school physical education teacher was suspected of monitoring the little girl student during a skipping rope activity in the classroom.
According to the police, he did this at school with the goal of upsetting a young girl student’s modesty.
According to the police, the accused allegedly shared pornographic videos with the young student via his personal mobile device, infringing upon her right to privacy and breaking the law in the process.
The police said that the accused will be brought before the court for remand today.
