MARGAO: Amidst rising cases of COVID 19 in Margao, the South Goa Collectorate has issued a memorandum stating that shops whose owner/worker test postive should compulsorily close down their respective establishment for a period of 14 days.
“If any shop owner/worker has to go for Covid-19 test, he/she should keep the shop closed till the report is received. Further, it ts informed that, if the person is found Positive, the shop should be kept closed for 4 days. This must be implemented in the entire jurisdiction of Margao Municipality.” the memorandum states
As of now 1240 Covid-19 postive cases have been reported in Salcete taluka out of which 90 cases have been linked to New Municipal Market and Gandhi Market in Margao.
Also it has been reported that 16 shop owners from this areas have tested postive.
The South Collectorate has stated that this memorandum should be strictly implemented in the entire jurisdiction of Margao Municipality.
