North District Collector R Menaka has issued a show-cause notice to the Walwalkar higher secondary school teacher Ananth Pissurlekar, who allegedly was seen instigating teachers against joining the survey conducted by the State during COVID19 lockdown.
A show cause notice issued by the Collector says, “ you are directed to file a detailed reply to above referred show cause notice by 5.00 pm on August 17, 2020.”
“Failure to file reply within the stipulated time, will be assumed that you have nothing to say in the matter and action as deemed fit shall be taken against you without any further notice,” the notice said.
The State government had conducted a house to house survey throughout the State to identify the SARI/ ILI patients who were vulnerable to COVID19.
However, some teachers involved in the survey had opposed the move. During such opposition Pissurlekar video was viral instigating teachers against joining the survey.
