CANACONA: Shree Ram Navami was observed with great devotion at Shree Samsthan Gokarn Partagali Jeevottam Math, Partagali, on Friday.
The rituals began as early as 1:00 am with the conduct of Shree Maharasthotsav and Agniholla Samarpan to Narayan Bhoot. The day’s celebrations commenced in the afternoon at around 1:40 pm, when HH Shrimad Vidhyadheesh Teerth Swami, also referred to as Shri Vidhyadhish Teerth Swamiji, ceremonially broke a coconut at the wheel of the Rath to mark the beginning of the Ram Janmahotsav celebrations.
Later in the evening, Shree Maharatharohan was held in the Mutt premises, with devotees participating in large numbers.
President of the Mutt Shrinivas Dempo, PWD Minister Digamber Kamat, members of the Gaud Saraswat Brahmin community, priests and other devotees took part in the celebrations.
