CANACONA : On the completion of one year of Ram Prathistapana (Ram Idol Installation) at Ayodhya is celebrated by taking out a procession by Ram devotees of Palolem and others at Canacona on Wednesday.
The procession which started from Bhumipurush Devasthan at Palolem, proceeded to Chaudi Maruti Mandir and went to Shristhal Mallikarjuna Devalaya, visited Partagal Math, and went through Galjibagh, Talpona, via Mangan came to Rajbagh-Tarir, and through Patnem, Colomb again reached back and culminated at Palolem.
On this occasion, the devasthan committee and Ram devotees worshiped the idol of Shri Ram in the procession at various places by making halts.
Also Canacona MLA and Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar visited the statue of Shri Ram. Former BJP presidents Vishal Desai and Nandeep Bhagat, ex- BJP Yuwa Sangh president Pankaj Naik Gaonkar, BJP Canaocna mandal ex-General Secretary Diwakar Pagi, besides Ram Bhakts Dharmendra Pagi, Ram Pagi, and others participated in this procession.
